TIACS to the Moon

$29.99 Can Save a Marriage Reading TIACS to the Moon 3 minutes Next I'm Sick of This

There have been a fair few things that have increased over the last 12 months:

Bitcoin rose 120%

Fuel prices rose 30%

Housing prices nationally rose 26%

But there is something that has out performed them all! TIACS call volumes in the last year have risen a staggering 1700%! How good!

You may be sitting there reading this and saying ‘Ed, you're off your head. How could more people calling a mental health counselling service be a good thing? Doesn’t that mean that more people are struggling?!’

I hear you but you may not be looking at it the correct way… so hear me out.

Now if your local gym said that it had an increase in members of 1700% you'd be cheering! ‘Hey Brian did you hear about all these people that are starting to work out!? Yeah hundreds of people are starting to regularly exercise, so good for the overall health of the community. I think I may join in on the action’.

TIACS IS NOT CRISIS SUPPORT. If we drew out the mental health landscape (poorly) it would look a little something like this…

Over at TIACS we are working to ensure we are early to mid level intervention. What is that? Well it's where you go when you think/feel/know something isn't quite right and need some support. It could be your relationship with your partner, feeling unmotivated at work or you are struggling to sleep or starting to hit the bottle a little too often. Our aim is to help everyone early and remove the high demand for crisis support in this country.

To keep up with the gym example, the way I like explaining TIACS to people is like this. Imagine you got a free gym membership, the gym was open every week day from 8am - 10pm and every time you went to work out you had a PT helping you through your workout, this PT is also absolutely FREE! Sounds too good to be true right? Well it's not, TIACS has supported over 9000 individuals now who have all wanted to improve their mental wellbeing and you could too! If you would like to speak to a mental health counsellor reach out to TIACS on 0488 846 988.

Look after yourself.
