POV: It’s your moment to support tradie mental health so you launch a fundraising hoodie with Australia’s biggest home improvement brand.
How do you measure the moment?
Is it the 12 months of planning building up to that moment you launch?
Is it the moment you see the crowds line up at 6am, even though the hoodies weren't launching till 7?
Is it the moment the Mother DJ drops a beat in the carpark, the bacon and egg rolls and the good vibes vibing?
Is it the moment the coffee van opens it’s doors to serve over 300 free coffees across 7 sites on one unbelievably epic launch day?
Is it the moment you giveaway the first hoodie in the country, on site, and the one lucky hoodie winner tells all of his colleagues proudly “Everyday we wear these these shirts and I think it symbolise everything that we stand for here at AH fencing”
Is it that moment that tens of thousands of people ripped the packaging open on their brand new hoodie knowing that their purchase will help change lives?
Is it the hundreds of conversations we had with tradies on sites around Brisbane, making sure that every one of them know what TIACS is and that someone has their back when they hit a rough patch?
Or was it that moment that we poured the very last coffee of the day and met that one legend on site who needed a conversation that day.
That one bloke on site who seemed like the solid one.
The one to greet us at the site gate, the one to point out where the foreman's office was, the one to tell us to watch our head as we walked under the scaffold. The one who looked after us on site.
He was THAT bloke. The one to walk us back out to the ute as we were leaving, thanking us from the bottom of his heart for visiting his site that day.
That bloke telling us how much it would have meant to the rest of the tradies on site to learn about TIACS, but in that moment tears started rolling down his face.
He’d been through a break up.
Last week was his birthday and all he wanted was for her to call. The call never came.
We stood with him at that moment, and we let him have his.
As he took a TIACS card and turned it over in his calloused hands we could feel in that moment that he felt like someone had his back.
“Thanks boys - I reckon i’ll give TIACS a call and have a chat”
That was our moment of the day, and it measured up beautifully.
Thanks to the overwhelming success of the Bunnings Trade x TIACS hoodie launch, there are tens of thousands of legends across the country proudly wearing a new hoodie with the TIACS logo all over it.
Simply by wearing it, you’ll create your own moments where people feel like they can share. And in those moments just know, TIACS, the Home of Blue collar counselling has your back.
