British Paints - Semi-Gloss kinda life

Life's not matte, mate - some days you're glossy, some days you're two coats deep and still not covering the last layer, and some days you're just trying not to get paint in your hair.

That's the whole idea behind Semi-Gloss Kinda Life, a wall-to-workwear collab with the crew at British Paints. We took their colour wheel, threw it at a canvas, and let the brushstrokes do the talking: bold, loud, layered, and built to start the same conversations you'd have over a tin of paint and a bad joke about "just needing one more coat."

Because whether you're rolling walls or rolling with the punches, it helps to have someone ask how you're really going. Every TradeMutt worn starts a conversation.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway - “Bagarra-la ngundal djin.gal-mu” by Tahalani Torney

Helping our North Queensland mates adapt to the tropical rainforest landscape! These legendary designs include artwork which was created specifically for Skyrail Rainforest Cableway in Cairns by Djabugay woman and local artist Tahalani Torney named “Bagarra-la ngundal djin.gal-mu (Looking at the rainforest from the sky)”. For the team at Skyrail, one of Australia’s most iconic tourist attractions, a key part of their uniform design was to celebrate their deep connection to the breathtaking rainforest environment and traditional Djabuganydji lands. Skyrail Rainforest Cableway’s uniform base is inspired by the pattern commonly painted on Djabugay shields. The artwork also includes the Australian Fan Palm, Golden Penda, and Lawyer Cane - all of which are synonymous with the city of Cairns and capturing the essence of the ancient rainforest.

On a normal day they are busy offering a unique bird’s eye view of the gorgeous Wet Tropics World Heritage area, between Cairns and Kuranda, while getting the many celebrated tourists and lookey-lou’s up close with the ancient rainforest. However a complex operation like Skyrail needs carefully planned maintenance and upgrades, and the team are diligently working on this for their Skyrail 2.0 upgrade project without ceasing operations… Having said that, a construction site is not much of an inviting scene, unless you’re a special breed of person (tradies), so the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway team wanted to make sure their build crew were decked out with something that says more than “danger, watch your head”, while remaining rainforest inspired and we were happy to oblige!
