Dan and Ed sit down with Rugby League royalty, Darius Boyd. A man that achieved everything in the game of Rugby League, 2 premierships, over 300 first grade games and a Clive Churchill medal however, it was his battle with mental health and mindset that was his biggest test. In this open and honest conversation we hear about the early life of Darius growing up on the Gold Coast, never meeting or knowing who his father is and what his experience was like spending 3 weeks in a mental health facility in 2014 while playing for the Newcastle Knights. We discuss the importance of strong male role models, how the media easily and incorrectly portrays what professional athletes are actually like as people and what it was like going from a shy kid on the GC who wanted to play just one game of NRL for the Broncos to a Rugby League great.
