Full methodology notes
Impact data for TradeMutt quotes and invoices was independently calculated and audited by third-party impact measurement specialist, Make Good Measurement, using a combination of TradeMutt's product and sales data and a customer survey conducted in July 2025.
The calculator estimates social impact based on each product sold, average sales values, the average profit donated to TIACS and the July 2025 customer survey. Specifically, it estimates:
- How many conversations each product generates about mental health, using survey data showing that for every product used, an average of 2.84 conversations are started and 90% are about mental health.
- How many referrals to TIACS are generated from using a TradeMutt product, using survey data showing that for every two TradeMutt users, one is referred to TIACS. Referral metrics are measured over a 3-year timeframe.
- How many workplaces or sites are positively impacted, using survey data showing 59.2% of workplaces or worksites report mental health conversations becoming more accepted or normalised when TradeMutt products are worn or used.
- The total value of social impact created, calculated by combining the average sale amount with evidence-based dollar values for peer-to-peer support, more mentally healthy workplaces, and access to professional counselling.
For all metrics, the timeframe is based on 1 year, except referrals to TIACS which are measured over 3 years.
